Getting information to Legislators

One of the ways PSJ gets information to legislators is by creating 1 to 2 page informational documents.

During theJanuary 2010 interim committee hearing days, we gave all legislators the following documents in support of the Safety and Savings Bill.

In coalition with the Promise of 57 Coaltion, a diverse group of individuals working together to find a better way to fight crime, we distributed these documents during the 2009 legislatlive session.

On Corrections Spending

On Delaying Implementation of Measure 57

On Treatment can Prevent Arrest

On Earned Time in Washington State

On Second Look for Youth

Second Look for youth charged as adults was strongly considered for inclusion in the 2009 Safety & Savings Bill, but was ultimately cut.  It would have allowed youth charged as adults a chance to have their mandatory sentence reviewed after serving half of their time.
