The state of Oregon is paying over $300,000 to settle the claims of five incarcerated people that they were denied adequate treatment for Hepatitis C. Four of the individuals are dead. One is ill and in prison in eastern Oregon. Of the four who passed away, their families or friends are receiving settlements of $12,000 to $150,000.
