PSJ Interns are the best!

PSJ is pleased to have the following people working with us:

Brandy Sears

Brandy is an intern from the Steps to Success program; she came to Partnership for Safety and Justice to help with administration. Brandy works hard to get beyond her felony conviction and make life better for her son and herself. If you call the office Monday through Friday she just might be the one who answers your call.

Tammy Wilkins

Tammy is doing a work study from Portland Community College. She comes to the office one day per week and has helped us on many projects. Some of you might have read her story about the Mentor Program at Central City Concern in our fall addition of Justice Matters. Tammy has been with us for about three years and we are very lucky to have her. Tammy is a formerly incarcerated woman, with four years clean and sober. She is just finishing up with community college and on her way to Portland State to complete her Bachelors’ degree in computer information systems and environmental science.

Erika Spaet

We are fortunate to have Erika with us as a Jesuit Volunteer. She helps with our membership engagement work including; coordinating our Action Teams and managing our prisoner mail on Mondays.  Erika brings a young person’s perspective with communication and outreach and has launched Partnership for Safety and Justice is on Facebook. Look for us at www.facebook.com/safetyandjustice.

Lakia Wilson

We have a new Washington State University Intern, Lakia Wilson. She is working towards creating a Speaker’s Bureau to speak out on barriers to employment and hopefully over the span of a year our Speakers Bureau will be able to speak out on a variety of issues that we at PSJ value.

If you would like to learn more about Lakia or the Speaker’s Bureau please contact her at 503.335.8449.

Robin Kigel

Robin is a student at Southern Oregon University; she called a few months ago and asked if she could work with us on creating a Think Outside the Box Campaign in Jackson County. If you have friends or loved ones in Jackson County who are experiencing barriers to employment, please inquire to Robin at psjjackson2010@gmail.com.
